1,000 trash Cans (Nicholas L. Swartz)
Nicholas L. Swartz. Born in Lyons, Ohio, resides in Toledo.
He started playing guitar in middle school and recorded a
series of solo acoustic, sort of avant garde noise garbage.
The third installment, …and now we go to a darker place, was
actually “released” through his upstart label Gytar Records
and has gone on to sell upwards of several copies. Then
Nicholas graduated high school, and attended the University
of Toledo for about five years (one of which was spent studying
in Puntarenas, Costa Rica). During this time period he traveled
to Panama City, Panama and discovered The Canal. It definitely
was there. Back to the states he went after a calamitous,
debacle laden last several months hunting for passports in San Jose.
To Toledo he returned and then went to Mickey Finn’s Pub one fateful
eve with Keving G, Matt T, and Steve O to see Stylex perform.
So many drinks were drunken and telephone poles obstructed the justice
of Kevin’s fist and argumentative demeanor. Spilled consciousness and
back flips for stool to floor- they decided to start a band. Nick
and Matt compiled a few gems of their written during yester year past.
Jammed the fuck out of them until the sound broke, in half and Bobbie
was added on bass. The rest fell into place, there was a singer,
but then there was no longer, so Nick started picking up more time on
the mic along side Bobbies chords. A show here a show there. He
finished his degree in political science and now toys with music
waiting the days of graduate school.
